Lincoln Highway Marker

Dedicated in 1913, the Lincoln Highway was the first transcontinental highway in the United States, running from Times Square in New York to Lincoln Park in San Francisco. On September 1, 1928 3000 concrete markers were placed to mark the route across the country. Many of these are long since gone, but this one still stands its watch over Nevada Highway 50, a part of the original Lincoln Highway, just outside of Eureka, Nevada.
