Dockery Farms near Cleveland, Mississippi is a pretty special place in the music world. It is generally considered the birthplace of the Blues. One time home to Henry Sloan, Charley Patton, Son House, Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Pops Staples and Honeyboy Edwards it is definitely hallowed ground. Visiting this place is a must along the Blues Trail and the owners are incredibly welcoming.
I love all these old historic buildings you are sharing
Thanks! It’s a cool part of the country to travel around. Hoping to get back to mountains and lakes in the near future, but for now, I’m enjoying the Deep South!
