I had totally forgotten about these! Parents make these ladder boxes to give their kids front row seats to the parades during Mardi Gras here in New Orleans. Good memories!

Those are really cool!
At some point I’m sure one person built one and then they caught on. Most people I know who grew up in New Orleans have fond memories of being in one of these!
