This was a beautiful scene outside of Fort Garland, Colorado. With the snow on the mountains and the beautiful white clouds, it was hard to tell where the the sky ended and the mountains began.

Someone died along that road !
Unfortunately, yes. Remembrance crosses are fairly ubiquitous along the road – a constant reminder to remain vigilant behind the wheel.

It was so great to see the mountains after 3 days of steady cross-country driving!
