This is beautiful Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.

We hiked up there in August and I loved Dream lake. Ended up about 3 tenths of a mile from Emerald Lake and it started lightning and thundering with tons of rain and everyone was hustling to get back down as the rangers warned us if we saw lightning to get down quickly. Quite a hike uphill but worth it!
It is a really pretty place. Sorry you didn’t make it all the way to Emerald Lake, but better to miss a view than catch a shock!
