I’m a sucker for things like this. This is the very first location of what would go on to be known as Kentucky Fried Chicken. Kentucky Colonel Harland Sanders opened Sanders Café in Corbin, Kentucky in 1930.

Interesting to see the different styles of buildings in countryside New Jersey, decor of Edison’s office and exterior of KFC cafe.It must have been fun visiting Edison’s Laboratory with the little experiments on display one can work with.Science museum trips are always fascinating.
So cool!!
These colors are great. It almost makes me want to go get a bucket of Extra Crispy, if I didn’t get that weird KFC headache afterwards…
Thanks! Yeah, I didn’t actually eat there, but it was cool to see. If the Colonel were still there cooking I would have pulled up a chair.
That’s my hometown 🙂
Cool! I just stopped on the way through, but it seemed nice and I would love to spend more time there.
Born and raised in Corbin, KY. It is a cool place. It’s the country outside the city to visit. As a photographer, Cumberland falls is absolutely beautiful and so close. I’m sad you missed that hidden gem.
That’s very cool. I will put it on my list and check it out next time I’m in the area!
